PROCEDURE FOR ARRANGING AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DOCTOR
What is triage? Triage is when the duty medic assess what will best meet patient’s needs. In other words:
- Who needs to be seen in person
- Who needs a phone consultation
- Who needs to be seen via video call
- Who needs to be seen by a community service or pharmacist
URGENT MEDICAL ISSUES CAN BE SEEN ON THE SAME DAY
To book an appointment, please call 0141 339 5513 and wait to speak to the receptionist. This service is available during normal opening hours, which you can find below.
Time Keeping: You are responsible for being on time and keeping appointments with us. Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot make an appointment.
We are currently strictly limiting face to face appointments and trying to deal with issues on the phone where possible. In some cases video consultations may also be available.
We are experiencing a very high demand for appointments and as a result the wait for a routine appointment is a little longer than normal. We apologise for this and ask for your patience at this busy time. Please consider if your issue could be dealt with in the first instance by another service e.g. the pharmacy. If you have an extremely urgent medical issue and therefore need to speak to a doctor that day, please call as early as possible as this helps us to manage our workload and prioritise appointments where necessary.
EXTENDED OPENING HOURS
This practice offers appointments outside of conventional hours. These appointments are primarily intended for patients who cannot attend an appointment within core opening hours.
This service is available every fortnight on a Wednesday from 17:30 – 18:30.
To book an extended hours appointment, please call 0141 339 5513 and wait to speak to the receptionist. Due to limited availability this service must be booked in advance.
