Minor Injuries Units (MIUs) are facilities available at local hospitals for treating physical injuries that are not immediately life threatening.
Examples of minor injuries include:
- Cuts and bruises
- Small burns
- Foreign bodies
- Head injuries where the patient has remained conscious
- Any injury which cannot be dealt with at home
